Date: Wednesday 12 August 2020

Time: 6.00pm to 7.30pm

This year, due to the Covid19 outbreak, we will be unable to host a full Janmashtami celebration as we normally would. We will be open from 6.00pm to 7.30pm for darshan only. You will not be able to remain on the premises and, in order to ensure we can all maintain a safe distance, we ask that all devotees leave the temple as quickly as possible.

PLEASE DO NOT BRING ANY PRASHAD, FLOWERS, OR MILK FOR SHIVJI. The entire area will be sectioned off for everyone’s safety. Additionally we ask that all devotees follow the directions of our volunteers on the night, so that we can manage the flow of people in and out of the temple.

Janmashtami is one of the very few opportunities that we have to raise money for the temple each year. Our limited opening has resulted in a much reduced income from the temple. We ask devotees that, instead of placing money in a jholi as we would do each year, you make donations in one of three ways:

  1. Placing money anonymously in our donation boxes.
  2. Making a receipted donation at the table that will be set up for this purpose on the evening.
  3. Payment into the South East Hindu Association account that is held with Santander, sort code 090155 and account number 53128604. (Please use DONATION as a reference).

We thank you for your understanding and look forward to seeing you for darshan.

Jay Shri Krishna!
