What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Membership Information

When you become a member we ask you to complete a membership application form. This is normally done during our annual Navratri celebrations. We retain this form for a minimum of 7 years so that we can contact members if required. We do not hold member data on any other information systems and your information is NOT passed to anybody outside of our organisation for any purposes with the exception of requests from relevant authorities for the prevention and detection of crime.

Photography and Social Media

We try not to be too strict in respect of photography within the temple. We do, however, request that you read and follow the guidance that we have provided on our website. Click here to view this.

Cookies

Cookies are small files that are stored on your computer which contain information about you. We do not use cookies in any way on our website. We have no interest in where you have been as an individual. We are only interested on where we’re all going as a community. Your privacy, in this respect, is assured.

Other websites and plugins

Our newsletter sign-up requires you to provide very limited information so that we can send out relevant information to you. The services of MailChimp are used for this purpose and we do not pass any of your information to anybody else.

What rights you have over your data

If you wish to see the data that we hold about you then please contact us in writing. In most cases this data will amount to no more than your annual membership application form, where applicable. We hold no other data over and beyond this.

Any questions?

If you have any other concerns, questions or queries then please do not hesitate to contact us in writing. The best method of contact is by email at mail@seha.org.uk
